Quick Start

This is the shortest path from a new install to a clean Vendivo program. You will build a small show queue, choose a camera and microphone, prepare the production engine, and verify the picture before anything goes on air.

Before you begin

Have these ready:

• A Mac with one or more cameras visible to macOS
• A microphone if your show needs audio
• OBS Studio 28 or later
• For Whatnot, a show that can use Whatnot Show Tools in Chrome

Close apps that may already own your camera. If OBS is open with unsaved work, save it before Vendivo installs or repairs production components.

1. Install and open Vendivo

Download the current notarized release from Download Vendivo, move Vendivo to Applications, and open it.

macOS may ask for camera or microphone permission. Allow the permission needed for your show, then reopen Vendivo if macOS asks you to do so.

Vendivo checks OBS and its production components automatically. If a component update requires OBS to close, save any OBS work, stop the public broadcast and confirm the destination reports off air, stop and finalize any recording, select End Show if the local show is active or interrupted, and wait for broadcast, recording, and setup transitions to finish. Then quit OBS and retry the action in Vendivo.

2. Open Live Selling

Choose Live Selling at the top of Vendivo. The released Mac app's current customer workflow is here: local Mac cameras, a show queue, audio, composed views, preflight, recording, and destination controls.

Camera Home is for the forthcoming phone-companion workflow. It is not needed for a current Mac-camera show.

3. Choose the marketplace mode first

Open Show Settings → Accounts & Marketplaces and choose the marketplace mode first: Manual / External, Whatnot, eBay Live, or TikTok Shop.

For Whatnot, choose Whatnot. Vendivo changes the program to its dedicated portrait format and changes the camera roles to Seller and Product. Choosing the marketplace mode later would invalidate work you already verified.

For a non-Whatnot stream, choose Selling marketplace, YouTube Live, Twitch, or Custom RTMP later under Output & Recording. That separate picker configures where Vendivo sends the standard RTMP output.

4. Build a small show queue

Vendivo requires at least one queue item before Start Show becomes available.

1. In SHOW QUEUE, select Add Items….
2. Add one product, card, break, or lot per line.
3. Save the queue.
4. Select the first item and confirm its starting view.

For a rehearsal, one temporary item is enough.

5. Choose cameras

Open Show Settings → Cameras or select Configure Cameras.

For a first test, start with one camera and assign it by its exact device name. Camera assignments save as you make them; you will verify the live program later under TEST CAMERA VIEWS. If you plan to show the seller and product at the same time, assign two distinct cameras.

6. Prepare the production engine

Open Show Settings → Production Engine.

Select Set Up OBS Automatically the first time. After a camera or production change, the same action may read Sync OBS Setup. Wait for the production engine and managed scenes to report ready.

Normal Mode is the standard experience: Vendivo controls OBS while keeping the full OBS interface out of the way. Open the ellipsis menu (More Studio controls) and choose Open Pro Mode only when you intentionally need the complete OBS workspace.

7. Choose and apply audio

Open Show Settings → Audio.

1. Leave Make Vendivo broadcasts video-only off when the show needs sound.
2. Choose System Default or a named microphone.
3. Select Test Microphone and speak at show volume.
4. Select Use This Microphone.

The meter test alone does not apply the microphone. See Audio Setup for echo prevention and video-only output.

8. Apply output and verify it

Open Show Settings → Output & Recording.

1. For a non-Whatnot stream, choose the RTMP destination and enter its server and private stream key. For Whatnot, confirm the fixed Whatnot Show Tools output.
2. For Whatnot, open Whatnot Connection… and apply the local connection password before connecting Show Tools.
3. Choose the recording folder and whether a standard RTMP broadcast should use Record with broadcast.
4. Select Apply & Verify.
5. Resolve the first failed output check, if any, and choose Check Again.

Apply & Verify applies output, recording-folder, and microphone configuration, then checks Production engine, Destination/Whatnot Show Tools configuration, Microphone, Internet, Recording storage, and Computer health. It does not create scenes, test an actual recording, verify camera picture, or prove that Whatnot Show Tools/WHIP is connected or live.

9. Test every required camera view

Return to the studio and use TEST CAMERA VIEWS.

• Confirm the expected camera is visible in each enabled view.
• Confirm motion is live, the picture is upright, and framing is intentional.
• Keep a Picture-in-Picture seller window away from the product.
• Finish every required test while the public broadcast is off.

The labels and status controls around Vendivo's confidence preview stay inside Vendivo. They are not part of the clean audience program.

10. Start the show, then start the broadcast

Select Start Show in Vendivo. This starts Vendivo's local show timeline and stages the first item and its starting view. It does not put you on air.

For Whatnot, select RECORD manually if desired, then start the public broadcast in Whatnot Show Tools. For standard RTMP, use Vendivo's START control; when Record with broadcast is enabled, Vendivo starts that recording with the broadcast.

• Continue with Whatnot Setup for the portrait and Show Tools workflow.
• Continue with Other Streaming Platforms for RTMP destinations.

If something does not match

Keep the public broadcast off. Open Troubleshooting, choose the symptom you see, fix its first failed state, and repeat the affected verification steps.
