Product and requirements
What is Vendivo?
Vendivo is a live-selling production app for Mac. It combines a show queue, camera layouts, microphone setup, clean program confidence, preflight, recording, and managed OBS production in one operating workspace.
What do I need?
- A Mac running macOS 12.3 or later
- OBS Studio 28 or later
- At least one camera available to macOS
- A microphone when the audience should hear audio
- For Whatnot, access to Whatnot Show Tools in Chrome
Vendivo for Mac supports Apple silicon and Intel.
Are the iPhone and Android apps available?
Not yet. The phone companions are still in store-release preparation and are not public customer downloads. The current Live Selling workflow uses cameras available to macOS.
Does Vendivo work on Windows?
The current desktop, plugin, and customer release is for Mac. Vendivo does not currently advertise a Windows release.
Cameras and picture
Why is my integrated camera not in Camera Home?
Camera Home is designed for the forthcoming phone companions and does not list local Mac cameras. Use Live Selling → Show Settings → Cameras for the integrated FaceTime camera, USB webcams, and other cameras available to macOS.
Can I run a Whatnot show with one camera?
Yes. One assigned camera supplies the full-screen Seller and Product views. Stacked and Picture-in-Picture require two distinct cameras.
Does Vendivo put labels or banners into the audience video?
No. The managed Whatnot output contains the camera composition and configured microphone. The show queue, seller cues, item labels, warnings, preview badges, scene names, and Vendivo branding remain inside the app.
Why can the local selfie view look mirrored?
Some local camera previews mirror the image for familiar eye contact. Judge the actual destination output using readable text. Text sent to viewers must not be backward.
Why can OBS look smooth while the Vendivo preview updates more slowly?
The Vendivo image is a confidence monitor; OBS and the destination are the audience path. Heavy Mac load can reduce the monitor's update rate before it affects the production output. Check the destination preview, then reduce unnecessary capture, recording, browser, and encoding work.
Show flow
Why do I need a show queue?
Vendivo needs at least one product, card, break, or lot before Start Show becomes available. The first item also tells Vendivo which verified view to stage when the local show begins.
Does Start Show put me on air?
No. Start Show begins Vendivo's local timeline and stages the first item. For Whatnot, start and stop the public broadcast in Show Tools. For standard RTMP, use Vendivo's START and STOP controls.
Does End Show stop the broadcast?
No. Stop the destination broadcast and confirm it is off air first. Stop and finalize recording, then select End Show to finish the local Vendivo timeline.
Why are settings locked?
Vendivo blocks structural changes while a local show is active or interrupted, a broadcast or recording is active, output is changing state, or production setup is running. Finish those operations before editing the protected setting.
OBS and Whatnot
Is OBS supposed to be visible?
Not in Normal Mode. Vendivo launches and controls OBS in tray mode while keeping its full window out of the way. Choose Open Pro Mode only when you intentionally want the complete OBS interface.
What is the Whatnot Connection password?
It authenticates Whatnot Show Tools to the local OBS WebSocket on the same Mac. It is not your Whatnot account password or a stream key.
Use address 127.0.0.1, port 4455, and a password of at least eight characters. Select Verify & Apply, then enter the exact applied password in Show Tools.
Who starts the Whatnot broadcast?
Whatnot Show Tools in Chrome starts and stops the public WHIP broadcast. Vendivo prepares and switches the clean portrait program.
Does Vendivo manage Whatnot listings or auctions?
No. Listings, product pins, auctions, chat, orders, account access, and public broadcast status remain in Whatnot.
What does automatic OBS setup change?
Set Up OBS Automatically checks the Vendivo Camera plugin and private local control, then creates the managed production workspace. Sync OBS Setup updates that workspace after cameras, destination format, or scene structure changes.
Vendivo does not delete unrelated OBS profiles, scene collections, scenes, sources, recordings, stream keys, or filters.
What does Apply & Verify prove?
It applies output, recording-folder, and microphone configuration, then checks Production engine, Destination/Whatnot Show Tools configuration, Microphone, Internet, Recording storage, and Computer health. It does not create scenes, test an actual recording, verify camera picture, or prove that Whatnot Show Tools/WHIP is connected or live.
Audio and recording
Does OBS Virtual Camera carry audio?
No. It publishes the composed OBS picture only. Choose a separate microphone in a camera-picker app, or use Vendivo's managed WHIP/RTMP output when the microphone must travel with the program.
Why did testing the microphone not apply it?
Test Microphone proves Vendivo can hear the input. Select Use This Microphone to apply it to the managed production scenes.
Does a Replay Buffer warning mean audio failed?
No. An OBS GetReplayBufferStatus message concerns a separate replay feature. Verify show audio with the selected microphone, Vendivo's meter, and an end-to-end listening test.
When should I record a Whatnot show?
After preflight passes, select Start Show, then select RECORD in Vendivo and confirm it changes to RECORDING before starting the public broadcast. At the end, stop the broadcast, stop and verify the recording, then select End Show.
Privacy and support
Does Vendivo upload my camera feed?
Spitfire Creative does not operate a cloud video relay that receives or stores the current Mac-camera feed. Destination output goes through the production path you configure.
Do I need a Vendivo account?
No Vendivo account is required for the current Mac release.
Is Vendivo part of OBS?
No. Vendivo is independent software by Spitfire Creative and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the OBS Project.
What should I send support?
Email [email protected] with the Vendivo build, Mac model, macOS and OBS versions, destination, exact camera and microphone names, the first failed status, and the last action that worked. Never send stream keys or passwords.
